
To be eligible for a
Private Pilot Certificate, you must meet the following requirements set forth
by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA):
A. 20 hours of flight training from an FAA authorized Flight Instructor.
B. 10 hours solo flight training.
C. 10 hours of flight training from an FAA authorized Flight Instructor or solo flight training as required to meet the minimum flight time requirements and to build proficiency.
Approximate flight training costs are outlined below. This cost is based on 40 hours of total flight time, with training completed in a Cessna 172. Total cost of flight training may vary based on type of aircraft flown, applicant motivation, and individual skill. Average total time to build proficiency is between 55 and 60 hrs total flight time.
